America’s Got Talent has seen many amazing young performers over the years, and this season is no different. One of the most talented kids to ever step on the stage is Journeyy Belton, a singer and songwriter from New Jersey. He’s only nine years old, but when he auditioned a few days ago with his original song ‘Paradise,’ he blew everyone away.
When Journeyy walked onto the stage, wearing a striped shirt and a big smile, he looked calm and ready. He sat down at the piano, and as soon as he started playing, the audience was amazed. His song was deep and powerful, with lyrics so meaningful that it was hard to believe they came from someone so young.
“You have a beautiful voice,” said judge Heidi Klum, clearly impressed. Simon Cowell took it even further and told Journeyy, “You are somebody who has just got a God-given talent.”
Believe it or not, Simon was already a fan of Journeyy before he even stepped onto the AGT stage! A friend had shown Simon one of Journeyy’s online videos, and Simon was so impressed that he asked the show’s producers to bring him on. But in an interesting twist, Journeyy had already applied for the season and had been invited by the producers!
Journeyy has been sharing his music on TikTok and Instagram for a while now. If you loved his song ‘Paradise,’ there’s even more good news for you. A full version of the song is available on YouTube, featuring additional instruments like keys, bass, and percussion. Right now, the video has around 7,000 views, but after his stunning audition, it’s sure to become a huge hit online.
Fans of America’s Got Talent are already calling Journeyy one of the most creative and original young performers the show has ever had. Writing a song like ‘Paradise’ at just nine years old is truly impressive. Many people online even think he deserved the Golden Buzzer!
