Britain’s Got Talent has helped many people shine, but Loren Allred’s story is truly special. When she stepped onto the stage, the Brooklyn-born singer shared that she was the singing voice of Jenny Lind in The Greatest Showman. The crowd was in awe as she delivered an unforgettable performance.

For years, Loren stayed behind the scenes, but at 32 years old, she decided it was finally time to step into the spotlight. The judges were impressed and applauded her bravery. After an incredible performance, Amanda Holden hit the Golden Buzzer, sending Loren straight to the semi-finals.

“Never Enough,” the platinum hit, was written by famous Broadway songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul for the 2017 musical, The Greatest Showman. They also created other hits like “A Million Dreams” and “This Is Me.” Originally, actress Rebecca Ferguson was supposed to sing “Never Enough,” but she felt that Loren’s voice was too amazing to replace. So, the song in the movie was actually Loren’s voice.

Loren’s talent was recognized long before The Greatest Showman. Back in 2008, when she was only 19 years old, the famous singer Ne-Yo noticed her singing on YouTube. He was so impressed that he helped her sign a record deal with Island Def Jam Music.

In 2012, Loren competed in America’s Got Talent, appearing in the third season. Unfortunately, she was eliminated after the first week of live playoffs. She later said it was because she didn’t share much of her personal story like other contestants did.

Two years after her AGT experience, Loren’s journey with The Greatest Showman began. In 2017, the movie was released, and “Never Enough” became a massive hit, reaching number 88 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The movie’s soundtrack topped the charts in several countries, including the UK, US, Australia, and Japan. Entertainment Weekly even ranked “Never Enough” as one of the “Best Songs from Movies of the 2010s.”

In 2019, famous singer Michael Bublé discovered Loren after watching The Greatest Showman. When he realized that Rebecca Ferguson wasn’t the real voice behind the song, he looked up Loren on YouTube. Impressed by her talent, he invited her to sing “Help Me Make It Through The Night” for his album Love.

In 2021, Loren had another big opportunity. She joined the legendary Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli for several performances during his US tour. They first performed together in Saudi Arabia, and Andrea praised Loren, calling her a “versatile musician raised in the arts.”

Later that same year, Loren released her very first 6-song album called Late Bloomer. The album’s first track, “This Summer,” was written as a love letter to anyone who felt lost during the pandemic, just like she did.

Loren Allred is now stepping away from the shadow of “Never Enough” and showing the world her true artistic identity. Her journey has had many ups and downs, but she is finally getting the recognition she deserves. Fans are excited to see what comes next for her.
