What could be better than Cher, Tina Turner, and Kate Smith singing together? How about the three legendary singers performing classic songs by The Beatles!

Cher’s deep, husky voice was absolutely perfect for kicking off “Help!” She started the song with her powerful tone, and then, when Turner and Smith joined in to finish the verse, it was pure magic. When all three voices blended together for the chorus, it sounded so amazing that it gave listeners chills.

Instead of The Beatles’ original rock-and-roll style, the trio transformed “Help!” into a soulful, R&B-inspired version. It was incredible to hear how fresh the song sounded, proving just how timeless The Beatles’ songwriting is. But of course, it was also thanks to the incredible talent of Cher, Turner, and Smith!

And they didn’t stop there. The three legends also performed “With a Little Help from My Friends,” “Day Tripper,” and “Here Comes the Sun.” Cher and Tina Turner, especially, brought incredible energy to the stage. You could see them vibing off each other, dancing and moving with the music, making the performance even more exciting.

This unforgettable 10-minute medley happened on The Cher Show, which aired on April 27, 1975. Fans absolutely loved it. Some shared their thoughts, saying, “Whoever put these three together was a genius! Their voices blend perfectly.” Another fan commented, “Such a wonderful video of three musical icons celebrating The Beatles. You can really see the friendship between Cher and Tina Turner—they seem like kindred spirits.”

But that wasn’t the only amazing moment of the night! Cher and Turner also teamed up for a high-energy performance of “Shame, Shame, Shame.” Five years later, in 1980, Ike & Tina Turner released their own version of this disco hit, but it was clear that Tina had already fallen in love with the song. On stage with Cher, she absolutely owned it. The way the two stars played off each other’s energy was just electrifying. They lit up the stage, making it impossible to look away!

If you’re a fan of Cher, you might be interested to know that her connection to The Beatles goes way back. On March 3, 1964, she released a song called “Ringo, I Love You” under the name Bonnie Jo Mason. The title was a tribute to The Beatles’ drummer, Ringo Starr, and the song came out right in the middle of Beatlemania! Later, in 1996, Cher returned to The Beatles’ music, releasing a heartfelt cover of “The Long and Winding Road” for a special compilation album called All Together Now: Beatles Songs by Superstars.

From that legendary performance in 1975 to her lifelong love of The Beatles, Cher has always had a special place in rock-and-roll history. And when she shared the stage with Tina Turner and Kate Smith to honor The Beatles, it was truly a performance for the ages!
