The Emerald Belles, a dance group from Southlake, Texas, have been dazzling audiences for nearly 30 years. They call themselves a “super-sized dance team” and have built a strong reputation for excellence. Over the years, they have won many awards and taken part in countless competitions.
One of their most famous performances was at the 2017 Crowd Pleasers Dance Area Competition, where they wowed the audience with an incredible routine called “High Kick.” As the name suggests, the performance was packed with impressive high kicks, showing off their skill and precision.
Dancing to the iconic song “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” by the Eurythmics, the 80-member team started their routine with freestyle movements, each dancer moving in her own way. Then, suddenly, they moved in perfect sync, coming together at the center of the floor to deliver mesmerizing high kicks.
The routine didn’t stop there! The team split into smaller groups, creating stunning optical illusions that made it seem like the floor itself was shifting beneath them. The crowd couldn’t contain their excitement, screaming and cheering throughout the performance.

They have performed on cruise ships, at Walt Disney World, and even on Kelly Clarkson’s TV show!
In 2019, they took their talents to an even bigger stage—America’s Got Talent! Competing in Season 14 of the show, they wowed both the judges and the audience with their high-kick routine. Although they were eliminated in the quarter-finals, their audition left a lasting impression. Judge Julianne Hough praised them, saying, “You were cohesive and collectively beautiful.” Her words proved just how powerful and captivating the Emerald Belles’ performance was.
